Love Letters to Writers

Hey writer,

I’m so glad you’re here.

This is my messy, magical corner of the internet—where we muse, gripe, stumble, and celebrate all the wild twists of the writing life. I started this space as a way to think out loud about the behind-the-scenes parts of being a writer: the doubts, the discipline, the small wins, the epic blocks, and the moments of inspiration that come out of nowhere.

Basically, this is the stuff we don’t always post about elsewhere.

You'll find reflections on the creative process, dispatches from my own writing journey, and occasional love notes to anyone who’s ever sat down and tried to make sense of the world with words. Whether you’re deep into your 10th manuscript or still wondering if you’re “allowed” to call yourself a writer, this is a space for you.

What to expect:

  • Real talk about writing—both the work and the mindset

  • Behind-the-scenes of my books (and the ones I never finished)

  • Creative encouragement, hard-earned lessons, and maybe some tears

  • Prompts, questions, and community—because we’re better together

Some weeks it might feel like a pep talk. Other weeks, a journal entry. Sometimes, a soft nudge to keep going. Whatever it is, it’ll be honest, heartfelt, and hopefully helpful.

Thanks for being here. Let’s keep writing.

With love,
Crissi Langwell

My Books

If you love reading, you’ve come to the right place. My specialty is stories with heart, which mostly translates to romance. But I also have books that fall under women’s fiction, young adult, and magical realism.

Crissi’s Romance Reads Newsletter

This Substack is really for building commuity with other writers. Because, let’s face it, writing can often feel solitary. But if you’re really into reading, especially books about love, check out my newsletter. mailchi.mp/crissilangwell/romancereads
