Reaching the masses through everything but my writing has taken a toll on my mental health. In an effort to spread the word about my books, I immersed myself in social media marketing, newsletters, and blogging just to keep my name in people’s minds.
It became a full time job, on top of my full time job, and writing took a backseat until it became non-existent.
Which brings me to now, right here. This space is anything BUT marketing. Yes, I may mention my books. But mostly, I want to use this place for real connection. To share what’s important to me. What’s on my mind. To be authentic and raw and unafraid to be simply myself.
And I’m doing it all through writing.

The purpose for this letter? Authenticity. Simplicity. Connection. In a media driven world where everyone has a platform, connection seems to be the one thing missing. I will write here whether you read this or not. It’s my way to connect with whoever’s path this crosses. If something resonates with you, I hope you’ll connect with me.
